Depends on the armor set (non-class dependent). Many sets (especially female ones) just don't go together with a cape (because of gaps between shoulders and collar, etc.).
If it fits together, I display the cape with pride.

No, the capes do not look good and often cause ugly clipping. Most staves or even wands go right through the cape, I do not like that.

On some characters, I show my cape; on other characters, I hide the cape.
My assassin and my paragon, for example, both look great with the cape. No really noticeable clipping issues and I think the cape just sets off their armor and makes a really great finishing touch. Although on other characters like my mesmer and dervish, the cape just looks horrendous; clipping through collars and other parts of the armor, hanging unnaturally, and definitely not going with their dye schemes.

Depends on my armor and clipping issues. I wish, besides a cape, there was some way to display your guild affiliation...

Hate capes. It just detracts from the appearance of the armour imo.

I wear mine on half my characters and not on the other half. This is mostly due to armor or weapon clipping - wands/swords through capes does not look good! On some armor/character combinations it just doesn't look right. Our cape was designed by a couple of our members and its a great design - just doesn't work with some characters.

It depends on the character and the armor, as well as the color of the cape if i would have it displayed(when i was still guilded).

No. As others have noted, it hinders the look of armor.

I have always worn my cape with honor regardless of my armor, in fact early on when we recruited alot more, I told my guys if I caught them not showing it I was going to boot them, of course that was long ago in a galaxy far far away, but still, be proud of your guild

Not when there are major clipping issues. I love my cape but having my Necro's staff poke through it just doesn't look right.

Show it on most characters, but then I can create capes that fit my armors.
Probably the reason guildies do not wear theirs.
And on a lot of armors the capes just don't look that well, but lucky me I don't play those characters often or don't like those armors that much.
